Internet Orchid Photo Encylopedia – this site contains photos of 6,015 species in 606 genera. Includes a list of synonyms, common name if available and a brief description of the plant and where it grows. Useful for identifying plants or learning more about a particular genus.
The Mid-America Orchid Congress – many of our members hear conversations regarding the MAOC, but not everyone knows what the orginazation is all about. Our very own Beth Martin is the current president of this prestigious organization.
New Zealand Native Orchids – this site is well organized and provides excellent information on orchids not commonly seen in cultivation.
North American Orchid Conservation Center – a program of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, information on native United States orchids and their conservation efforts. The GoOrchids utility enables lookup of native orchids by name and state.
Orchid Digest – “When you’re serious about Orchids” – this magazine is published four times a year and contains excellent articles and incredible photographs.
OrchidWire – “Connecting A World of Orchids” – this a very detailed an up to date orchid resource directory with links to a wide range of orchid related resources.
